Personal:  Dr. Pruitt is a native of Southside, AL near Gadsden.  He is married to the former Brooke McDaniel, a native of Huntsville, and the two have four children.  In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, running, hunting, fishing, and playing drums in the children's praise band at his church (The Dad Band).

 

Education:  Dr. Pruitt attended the University of Alabama Huntsville where he was a member of the Cross Country and Track and Field teams.  He earned both Bachelors and Masters degrees in biology from UAH.  

He then received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from Lincoln Memorial University - Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM), in Harrogate, TN.

He completed his three year residency in Family Medicine at UAB-Huntsville Regional

Medical Campus. 

 

Awards:  He was voted "Best Teaching Resident" by the UAB-Huntsville medical student class of 2017, and also received a UAB Argus Award for "Best Teaching Resident" of the Huntsville Regional Campus in 2017.
